The Charming Creek Walkway follows an old coal mining rail track beside a river. It is very easy to get a feeling for what life must have been like in old times. The forests are unspoilt rainforests and the Charming Creek is rushing noisily through the valley. Not touristy at all – more ˋthe real NZ thingˋ.
Der Charming Creek Wanderweg folgt einer alten Bahnspur vom Kohleabbau am Flussufer entlang. Man bekommt sehr leicht ein Gefühl dafür, wie das Leben in alten Zeiten gewesen sein muss. Die Wälder sind unverdorbener Regenwald und der Charming Creek rauscht geräuschvoll durch das Tal. Nicht touristisch – eher das ˋechte Neuseelandˋ.
