It did not get any cooler travelling on. Antelope Canyon – a place I knew from many amazing photos – it is really beautiful but small and not as meditative as I thought it would be. Well, many people come to see something so special. How could I blame them?
Auf der Weiterreise wurde es nicht kühler. Antelope Canyon – ein Ort, den ich von traumhaften Photos kenne – er ist wirklich wunderschön, aber klein und nicht so meditativ wie ich dachte. Nun, viele Menschen kommen um etwas so Besonderes zu sehen. Wie könnte ich ihnen das vorwerfen?

Monument Valley impressed me much more than I expected. It is a breathtaking landscape, vast and powerful – and not so because one knows them from dozens of movies. I did get a different feeling for age and time there.
Monument Valley beeindruckte mich viel mehr als erwartet. Es ist eine atemberaubende Landschaft, weit und kraftvoll – und das nicht, weil man sie aus Dutzenden von Filmen kennt. Ich bekam dort ein anderes Gefühl für Alter und für Zeit.
